The set will release on June 23, and is available for pre-order now, with prices ranging from $16.67 USD for a starter kit to $440.27 USD for a collector booster box. It follows in the footsteps of some other custom Magic collections, like Street Fighter, Fortnite and Warhammer 40K. Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth is a fully draftable card set that’s legal for play in Magic: The Gathering‘s “modern” format.

There are also five different land cards, each of which spotlights a key area of Middle-Earth’s map. Each Gandalf the Grey card boasts the same stats and special abilities, but each features different artwork: in one, he’s seated and holding his staff as well as Glamdring, his sword, while in the other he’s battling the Balrog. The One Ring is present as a powerful legendary artifact card, and beloved wizard Gandalf makes two appearances as Gandalf the Grey.
